I was lucky enough to attend the Chicago Writer’s Association gala for Gene Wolfe last night thanks to the generosity of the CWA! It was an fabulous evening of carnival including: the world’s largest collection of self-playing musical instruments, an 8000 pipe organ playing the Star Wars theme, some of the best Science Fiction & Fantasy writers in the world who were all very friendly, a ride on a gigantic carousel, and lots of new friends!

I’m lucky to live in Chicago where evenings like this exist! Thanks to the very kind Neil Gaiman for signing my copy of Good Omens, to the CWA for a fabulous event, and to Gene Wolfe for being so awesome! And if you ever get a chance to visit the Sanfillippo Estate… do it!

Yeah, I’m bragging a bit with that signed-book-photo… :)
